CONTEST - Who's in your corner?

Great idea from a comment to an earlier post:

So after this One L is done, who would you want representing you? Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer? Waffle Lawyer? Tom Cruise or Al Pacino? The Practice?

Who's in your corner? Who's got your back? Who's padding your bill, overcharging you for copies, and bringing new associates to depositions that were already being covered by the mid-levels and staff counsels who really do all the work, but never get to actually meet the client?

My money is on Waffle Lawyer. (No link included because of that one scene at the end. This is a family blog, after all. Those of you who take it upon yourselves to see such material and are of the appropriate age are welcome to use Youtube to find it yourselves.)

Contest winner gets one free order of the sandwhich of the year. It's on Brian.

Fictional characters are preferred. Good Youtube links are HIGHLY encouraged.

Sandwhich of the year nominee - Sabikh

A little research, and here we are:

http://anopencupboard.com/category/israeli/

It seems the sandwhich described so yummily in a comment to a post below is called Sabikh.
Anybody got anything else on this for us? Info on where you can get them here? How about favorite Sabikh places in Israel?

One L

A number of my friends should now be half way through their 1L years at different law schools, especially that paradigm of education for the future bar leaders of tomorrow, The University of Houston Law Center.

Can we get a little comment action going on here? Some thoughts, some quips, some cries for help? The elders who have been through this rite of passage before you, and the other non-combatants of the world (you should begin thinking of them as potential future clients) will enjoy reading what you have to say.

Let me get you all started with a couple of suggestions:

  • "First semester of law school: wasn't holy, wasn't Roman, wasn't an empire."
  • "A sues B. Assume necessary facts and discuss. Cite relevant rules or statutes where appropriate. (90 minutes)."
  • "IM or GoogleChat?"

The UH Law Library Water Coolers

Almost totally worthless.

(they did, however work for me today.)

Day 2 Total - 19 and counting

OK Team, we had a good start yesterday, but we've still got a lot to get done. Only like nine thousand, nine hundred and eighty posts and comments to go...
